K. France Opticians is the longest established independent opticians in Carlisle and was founded in 1966 by Kenneth France. Ten years later the practice moved to its present address and Michael France joined his father and eventually took over the business in 1989. In 2005,Michael France retired and the business was transfered to Martin Golden and Tim Harper. The principal personnel comprise: Martin K Golden BSc (Hons), MSc., M.C.Optom….Optometrist and Director Tim Harper BSc (Hons), M.C.Optom…Optometrist and Director. Emma Stainton, Dispenser. The philosophy of the practice has always been one of care and attention. We believe that it is only through talking to our patients that we are able to fully understand their needs and advise them properly. Our appointments are booked every 30 minutes. Our emphasis is on providing quality products to suit all budgets and patients are able to make their choices in the unhurried atmosphere of our private dispensing room.
